A registry is a Quokit list dressed for an event: it carries an event title, a message from the hosts and a budget filter, so guests can find a gift in their price range from one shared link.
How is a registry different from a normal list?
The shared page leads with your event details instead of a plain list name. Guests can filter items by budget bracket, and each item can carry a target price so guests know the expected spend. Claiming works the same way as on any shared list.
How do guests reserve a gift?
Guests open the shared link, choose an item and claim it after verifying their email with a one-time code. Claimed items show as being handled so two guests never buy the same gift. Guests who bought in a physical store can mark the item as bought in store from the same page.
Do you see who claimed what?
Not before the event if anonymous claims are enabled. The claim reveal is under your control, so surprises survive until you choose to look. See sharing your wishlist for how claiming works in detail.
Can items come from different stores?
Yes. A registry accepts the same saved links as any Quokit list, so you can mix department stores, independent makers and overseas retailers in one registry.
What are the limits?
The Free plan includes one registry event; see the current limits on the Premium page.
