This placeholder privacy policy explains how Quokit handles personal information during the Phase 0 beta. It will be replaced by a fuller legal policy before the broader public launch.

Who we are
Quokit is an Australian wishlist and gift-coordination product for saving product links, organising lists, and sharing those lists with trusted family or friends.
What we collect
We collect personal information you give us or create in Quokit, including your email address, display name, account settings, lists, saved product URLs, notes, share links, export requests, deletion requests, and basic technical logs. If analytics are enabled, we may collect product usage events to understand whether the beta is working.
How we use information
We use this information to provide sign-in, save wishlist items, show your lists, create share links, troubleshoot issues, protect the service, respond to support requests, and improve the beta. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers
Quokit uses Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and account-related records. Quokit uses Vercel to host the web app and run server-side routes. These providers may process technical data such as IP address, request metadata, logs, and stored account content so the service can operate.
Access, export, and deletion
You can request an export of your account data from the app when signed in. You can also delete your account, which immediately hides your data, keeps an undo window for 30 days, and then removes personal content unless we need to keep limited records for security, abuse prevention, or legal reasons.
Australian Privacy Act baseline
We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act principles: collect only what is reasonably needed, keep it secure, limit access, let you request access or correction, and retain personal information only while it is needed for Quokit, support, security, or legal obligations.
