Setting up occasions and important dates

Record birthdays, anniversaries and other dates, then configure available reminders separately.

Occasions help you track dates connected to gift planning. Recording a date and receiving an automated reminder are separate behaviours.

How do you add an occasion?

Open Occasions, choose the add action and enter the person's name, occasion type and date. Check the date before saving, especially when day and month formats differ across regions.

Which dates can you track?

Use Occasions for birthdays, anniversaries and other dates you plan gifts around. Keep the name specific enough to recognise the person or event later.

Does adding a date guarantee a reminder?

No. Quokit can show upcoming occasions, but automated reminders depend on your notification settings, available channels and plan. Review those settings after adding the date.

How should you review upcoming dates?

Check the next four to six weeks once a month. This gives you time to review a private gift-idea list, confirm shipping and coordinate a group purchase.

Can you edit or remove an occasion?

Open the occasion and use the edit or remove action provided in the current interface. Confirm recurring dates after changing a day or month.

What should you do if reminders do not arrive?

Confirm the occasion date, account email and reminder setting. Check spam or filtered email folders. If the date appears correctly in Quokit but no enabled reminder arrives, contact support with the occasion name and expected reminder date.
