Secret Santa and Kris Kringle exchanges

Run a private name draw online: participants join with a free account and each receives one recipient.

On this page

A Quokit exchange runs your Secret Santa or Kris Kringle draw privately online: everyone joins, the organiser draws names, and each participant sees only who they are buying for.

How does the draw work?

The organiser creates the exchange, sets a budget and shares the join link. Each participant signs in with a free account and joins before the draw. When the organiser runs the draw, Quokit assigns every giver exactly one recipient, never themselves.

Can couples be excluded from drawing each other?

Yes. The organiser can add exclusion pairs before the draw, so partners or housemates never draw one another. If the exclusions make a draw impossible, Quokit says so instead of hanging or producing a bad draw.

Who can see the assignments?

Only each giver sees their own recipient. The organiser is included in the draw as a normal participant and cannot see other people's assignments. Assignments stay private in the database, not just hidden in the page.

What if someone joins late?

The organiser can redraw before gifts are bought. A redraw replaces all assignments, so agree on the participant list before anyone starts shopping.

What does it cost?

The Free plan includes one exchange; see the current limits on the Premium page.
