Privacy and sharing settings

Understand private links, view-only access, verified claims and the controls available to a list owner.

Quokit lists are not intended to be public search pages. Sharing still creates access, so use each link with the same care as another private shared document.

Who can view a shared list?

Anyone with a valid active share link may be able to view that list. Viewing does not require an account. A recipient can forward the link, so it is not the same as a password tied to one person.

A view-only link lets recipients read the shared list without changing claim state. Use it when guests only need product information.

A claim-enabled link allows a recipient to start the claim flow. The recipient must verify their email or use an authenticated session before a claim is recorded.

What do anonymous claims change?

Anonymous claims are a Premium list option. They control whether the list owner sees claim activity intended to remain a surprise. They do not make claimants unverified and do not hide claim state from every shopper.

How do you stop sharing?

Revoke the active link from the list's sharing controls. The old link should stop resolving after revocation. Create a new link only for the people who still need access.

What should never go in a list?

Do not store passwords, payment-card details, private identity documents or retailer account credentials in product notes. See the Privacy Policy for how Quokit handles account data.
